Infused Thai Green Chili Sauce

Yields about 2 cups sauce

Prep time: about 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4oz Thai Chilis

  • 1 jalapeno

  • 4-5 mini sweet red peppers

  • 1/2 and onion

  • 3 radishes (optional)

  • 5-7 garlic cloves

  • 1 avocado

  • 2 limes, juiced and 1 zested

  • 2 tablespoons cannabis infused olive oil (infusion optional)

  • 3-4 tablespoons water

  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon each: granulated garlic and onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon each: ground turmeric, ground mustard, salt and pepper

  • 1/8 teaspoon each: ground cayenne and ground cumin

Directions:

  1. Preheat skillet on medium heat with 1/2 tablespoon olive oil.

  2. Wash, then prepare vegetables by removing seeds and stems of mini sweet red peppers, stems of Thai chilis and jalapeno (cut jalapeno in half lengthwise), root and peel of onion half and garlic cloves. Root and stem of radishes, then cut in half. Halve and deseed an avocado. Zest 1 lime and juice both. **Wear gloves when handling the hot peppers

  3. In hot, oiled skillet, add all peppers, onion, garlic and radishes. Season and sauté until tender and onions are becoming translucent. Stir often to prevent burning.

  4. As you sauté the vegetables, add the avocado, 3/4 of the lime juice/zest mixture and 3 tablespoons water. Salt and pepper to preference. Set aside.

  5. When garlic and radishes start to have nice color to them, remove from pan and put into blender. Deglaze with remaining 1/4 lime juice and zest mixture.

  6. Add all the sauteed vegetables to blender.

  7. Add 2 tablespoons cannabis infused olive oil.

  8. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides to ensure all the big pieces of peppers are blended. You can add a tablespoon or two of water if need to reach your desired consistency.

Caution: This is very HOT. If you need to cut the heat, add a splash of apple cider vinegar.
