11-Hydroxy THC is metabolized delta 9 THC.
When active THC is orally ingested, the liver metabolizes the THC into a more water-soluble form known as 11 hydroxy THC. The more water-soluble form is more readily absorbed than the former and is how we experience the “high” feeling when using edibles.
